1. Disney On Ice: Let’s Celebrate
ALL WEEKEND | FISERV FORUM
The magic of Disney is coming to the Fiserv Forum this weekend. Disney classics Mickey, Minnie and Donald Duck along with new generation favorites Tiana, Rupunzel, Anna and Elsa will perform 30 famous sing-along songs while skating on ice. Children can dress up, and kids of all ages are encouraged to attend. Tickets are available online.
2. Pinch Pots & Succulents Workshop
FRIDAY FROM 5-7 P.M. | URBAN ECOLOGY CENTER
Explore your creativity this Friday at the Urban Ecology Center’s pinch pot workshop. Pinch pots are handmade pottery created by pinching clay. The workshop is for both children and adults of any skill level, as event leaders will walk participants through the basics of creating pinch pots. Event ticket includes a drink during the session as well as a succulent to plant in their homemade pot.
3. Sake Tasting
FRIDAY FROM 6-8 P.M. | NŌ STUDIOS
Nō Studios’ resident sake sommelier Clayton Biddle is hosting a sake tasting for those interested in learning about the ancient practice and expanding their palettes. The four unique sakes will be paired with a dinner from Nino’s Southern Sides which will include fried catfish, macaroni and cheese and more.
4. Drag Show at The Outsider
FRIDAY AT 10:30 PM | THE OUTSIDER
Local drag superstars Mizz Dora Diamond, Amethyst Von Trollenberg and Aubrey Del Mar are taking the stage this Friday for an evening of lip syncing and dancing. Attendees can sip craft cocktails while enjoying the show backed by one of the city’s favorite rooftop views.
5. Valentine’s Comedy & Magic Show
FRIDAY AND SATURDAY FROM 8 – 9:30 P.M. | BRUMDER MANSION
Milwaukee natives Two Brothers One Mind are returning to the brew city for a two night performance of comedy and magic. Guests are encouraged to arrive 30 minutes early to the show, so they can partake in a complimentary tour of the historical mansion to learn about its haunted history and ties to Al Capone.
6. Milwaukee Comic Con
SATURDAY FROM 10-5 P.M. | WISCONSIN STATE FAIR PARK
Milwaukee’s Comic Con is back this weekend, this time at the Wisconsin State Fair Park grounds. See comic book, fantasy, anime and sci-fi fans dress up in their best cosplay, and explore the several guests, booths, vendors and dealers at the con. Tickets are only $8 and children under 12 get in free.
7. The Great Stoutdoors
SATURDAY FROM 11 A.M.-7 P.M. | 1840 BREWING COMPANY
1840 Brewing Co.’s winter street party is a celebration of the toasty, dark and malty world of stout beers. Four unique stouts will be on tap, including a peanut butter-cacao-marshmallow stout created in collaboration with 608 Brewing. The event also features firepits, food options from Tots on the Streets and a booyah boil for charity.
8. Okay Omen Album Release Show
SATURDAY AT 8 P.M. | ANODYNE COFFEE ROASTING CO.
Milwaukee’s Okay Omen is releasing their debut album So It Goes... this Saturday with support from Overhand, HUMID and Social Caterpillar. Okay Omen’s nostalgic sound pulls from 90s alt and early-aughts post-hardcore demonstrated in their latest single, Reverie. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door.
9. Puppy Bowl Party
SUNDAY AT 1 P.M. | COMPONENT BREWING COMPANY
Component Brewing is hosting a showing of the Puppy Bowl, the furrier and more precious game on this Sunday. Component is a dog-friendly bierhaus, so bring your pup with you. There will be pet-focused vendors and drink specials, and the party will continue into the evening and roll into a viewing of the Super Bowl.
10. Super Bowl Watch Party
SUNDAY AT 4:30 P.M. | NŌ STUDIOS
Watch the Super Bowl in Nō Studios’ comfortable screening room with Dolby surround sound and plush seating. One drink is included in the price of the ticket, as are snacks and bites are from Nō Bayou, an in-house restaurant created by former On the Bayou chef Gregory Johnson.
