1. Plume Anniversary Party & New Space Reveal

FRIDAY FROM 6-10 P.M. | PLUME

Bay View’s vintage boutique Plume is celebrating their 5-year anniversary with a party and a reveal of their new space, The Crest. Guests can enjoy beverages by Discourse, aura portraits and readings by Aura/Iris and tarot readings by Temple of Heka while browsing the new space. The Crest will be an extension of their current collection alongside more options for plus size, occasion, masculine and decor. 

2. Night Moves

FRIDAY AT 8 P.M. | SHANK HALL

Minneapolis indie-rock band Night Moves released their first album in 2012, and has since toured across the nation and gained international recognition. They’re most recent EP, The Redaction, came out last year. 

3. Felonious Munk

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY AT 7:30 P.M. | THE LAUGHING TAP

Chicago-based comedian Felonious Munk is coming up to Milwaukee for a weekend set at the Laughing Tap. Munk is known for his role of Hassan on ABC’s “For Life,” DJ Dee Nuts in “Block Party” and Andy the Blegghead on Comedy Central’s The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore. His comedy is a fusion of family tales and observations on society. Tickets are available online.

4. Funny Face 

SATURDAY AT 12:30 P.M. | AVALON THEATER

See Audrey Hepburn on the big-screen during this Saturday’s screening of Funny Face (1957). The story follows Dick Avery (played by Fred Astaire), a New York City-based fashion photographer who stumbles upon bookstore employee Jo Stockton (Audrey Hepburn) and is struck by her beauty. The plot unfolds as the two characters attempt to build Jo a modeling career.

5. MLK Jr. Freedom Bell Workshop

SATURDAY AT 1 P.M. | 9175 N. 76TH ST.

This Saturday, Milwaukee’s F.A.T.E. (Fashion, Art, and Teen Entertainment) Group is hosting a Freedom Bell workshop, where participants can make and paint a freedom bell to commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The mission of F.A.T.E. is to provide an outlet of expression for Milwaukee’s youth through visual and performing art activities. All supplies and assorted snack bags are covered by the $5 admission fee. 

6. Owl Prowl: Family Hike

SATURDAY AT 5:30 P.M. | GRANT PARK

Do you have a future ornithologist in the family? Join a Wehr naturalist for this weekend’s Owl Prowl hike in Grant Park. Hikers will walk in search of the Great-Horned and Eastern Screech Owls all while learning about the natural habitats and behaviors of local owls. Curious children will be led through an owl pellet dissection to discover what owls eat every day. Eager hikers can register the family online.

7. Milwaukee Vintage Style Society Snowball

SATURDAY AT 7 P.M. | 5020 W. VLIET ST. 

The Milwaukee Vintage Style Society is inviting you to take a step back in time for this Saturday’s Snowball, hosted at Dandy. A password (that you get after registering) is required for the evening of “vintage glamor” that features live music from Professor Pinkerton’s Irreverent Orchestra and classic cocktails. Guests are encouraged to dress in their favorite vintage cocktail/black tie outfits. Tickets are available online.

8. Emmitt James

SATURDAY AT 7:30 P.M. | VAR GALLERY

Milwaukee-native mixed media artist Emmitt James is returning to the Cream City for a stop on his “Too Cold For Tour”’ tour. James’ music has a hip-hop meets jazz sound, and you can see his multi-media art on a lot of his merchandise – including chocolate molds of his mouth and self-branded “drip and dip” coffee kits. 9. Plant-itary Orbits Train Show

OPENS SATURDAY | MITCHELL PARK DOMES

This year’s Plant-itary Orbits train show is a space-meets-plants adventure that features model trains moving through 800 feet of tracks through the Domes’ many beautiful plants – including miniature white azalea trees, Vietnamese cypresses and “into the deep blue space of the pansy matrix.” The show runs through Mar. 26 and is included in the price of admission to the Domes.

10. David Spade

SUNDAY AT 8 P.M. | THE PABST THEATER

Saturday Night Live alum David Spade is coming to the Pabst Theater to shake off the Sunday scaries with an evening of comedy. The comedian has a several-decade comedy career including several collaborations with Wisconsin-native Chris Farley. If you can’t make the show on Sunday, he is also performing in Appleton on Friday and Madison on Saturday.
