Tina, Mafia Soldier

OUT MARCH 7

This is no simple mob story. Maria Rosa Cutrufelli’s novel explores gender identity, roles and expectations within the heightened machismo of the mafia. Robin Pickering-Iazzi, an Italian and comparative literature professor at UW-Milwaukee, translated the book.

2. The Flying Toad Circus

OUT MARCH 18

Milwaukee’s “alternative emo-adjacent band,” the four-piece Bug Moment, is releasing its debut album The Flying Toad Circus on March 18. They are celebrating with a show the same night at The Back Room @ Colectivo

3. Barrel Yard

OPEN BY OPENING DAY

Leinenkugel’s new brewery, bar and restaurant Barrel Yard will make its debut above American Family Field’s left field, just in time for opening day on March 30. The Barrel Yard will feature nearly 50 beers on draft, many of them made on the three-barrel on-site brewing system.
