Milwaukee’s Getting a New Karaoke Bar

AMPED Private Suite Karaoke and Events (910 W. Juneau Ave.) opens their doors in Milwaukee’s Brewery District on Jan 5. AMPED is the latest business by Bars & Recreation, the company that owns several of Milwaukee’s activity bars including Nine Below, AXE MKE, North South Club and Splash Studio.

The 9,000 square foot space has rooms that can accommodate as few as 12 people and up to 100. The ten private karaoke suites use the Singa catalog, featuring over 80,000 song choices.  If karaoke isn’t your jam, AMPED also offers trivia, bingo and other group games.

“Our customers have loved the concept of our ‘indoor tailgating’,” explains Erin Hochevar, Vice President of Bars & Recreation. “We bring games into the room like ping pong and corn hole--we even have a giant scrabble board.”

According to Hochevear, in addition to private suite karaoke, the AMPED space is also used for meetings and events-- things like team bonding nights, birthday parties and holiday parties. The spaces are rented out by the hour, designed to allow karaoke to be just one facet of a larger night out with friends.
