Holiday shopping season has officially begun, and Milwaukee’s many small businesses are shelling out the deals so you have all the more reason to #shopsmall this Saturday!
1. Olson House
4326 N. OAKLAND AVE., SHOREWOOD
Helmed by interior designer Teresa Olson, Olson House is the local destination for Nordic-inspired goods, gifts and decor designed to create peace and beauty throughout the home. On Small Business Saturday, they’re hosting their biggest sale yet— with everything (except local art and apothecary) 20% off. Patrons spending over $200 will get 25% off. Open from 10-6, Olson House is gifting free cookies from Bakehouse 23 and a free Swedish Dishcloth with purchase while supplies last. If you like to shop early, they’re also hosting a “good karma Friday,” donating 10% of sales that day to METAvivor, Metastatic Breast Cancer Research, Support and Awareness.

Vintage aficionado Maggie Solveson opened this Bayview hotspot six years ago, curating unique pieces of apparel and local art and home goods. This weekend, they’re hosting a three-day sale. Opening an hour early on Friday, they’re offering 30% off all day, with an extra 10% off the first and last hour of the day. On Saturday, the sale will be 25% off storewide with curated gift bags including coupons and treats from Bay View area businesses (including nearby Alive and Fine) for the first 15 customers of the day.
